“The Mole was bewitched, entranced, fascinated. By the side of the river he trotted as one trots, when very small, by the side of a man who holds one spell-bound by exciting stories; and when tired at last, he sat on the bank, while the river still chattered on to him, a babbling procession of the best stories in the world, sent from the heart of the earth to be told at last to the insatiable sea.”
Kenneth Grahame, The Wind and the Willows
Kelly spent a large portion of her childhood in a campervan listening to cheesy John Denver cassette tapes and traveling across the US with her self-employed parents. She loves getting lost in nature. Her accent confuses people.
She studied Graphic Design and Studio Arts and worked as a greeting card designer before diving in to full time children's illustration.
In her journal you'll find poems and sketches and little stories. In her paintings you'll find animals who dance and sing. She likes the thoughts that come tiptoe-ing out of her head in the wee hours of the morning.
Kelly lives in Melbourne, Australia with her fox terrier Barney and works as a freelance illustrator. For more info please visit the FAQ page.
